I have an HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-g103dx (ENERGY STAR) laptop. I get an error message about PowerDVD player not working when I try to play a DVD. Per the tips, I have uninstalled and resinstalled a few times with no avail. Anyone know how to get this to work without having to pay for a new DVD App.

What is the error message ? There are many free software players around, you can use the following player for free. It can play nearly all video formats
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
For the first time, you need to open disc
and set it as default, next time, it will play for you automatically.
Regards.

@PrincessJRAM wrote:Thanks. This play has loaded successfully. The error message I was getting said "PowerDVD.exe is not working. Then it would ask for your email address and if you wanted to send a report.
Where did you get it from ? You may have to pay to get it if using a wrong source. Please use
