ProBook 440 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't get 3440x1440 resolution when connecting ProBook 440 G7 to HP Omen 34c monitor via HDMI.

The highest available resolution available in Windows 10 preferences is 2560x1440.

No, as explained above. The ONLY hope is USB-C supported DP 1.4 which HP did not say anything.

Regards.

The specs of your machine is

        https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06474914

It ONLY has  (1) HDMI 1.4b port which does NOT support 3440x1440 resolution. The specs of your monitor is

         https://www.omen.com/us/en/displays/omen-34c.html

It requires HDMI 2.0 or above. It has  1 DisplayPort™ 1.4 port . The spec of your machine does NOT say what is the generation/version of the USB-C to DP Alt mode therefore very hard to say you can use USVB-C port for  3440x1440 or nọt

Okay thanks for your help!

I don't know if i am going to try this because i already have the monitor's display port connected to my main PC and I wanted the laptop that i use for work to be on another port.

Maybe I can try to use a splitter on monitor's DP.
