Hi there,

Good morning to all from India.
I've HP PAVILION DV6-6165TX ENTERTAINMENT NOTEBOOK PC & Serial Number : 5CH1321S44
Warranty expired on November 15, 2012 (13 yr old laptop)

I'm currently planning to buy an external monitor which has 165Hz refresh rate. My laptop has one HDMI & one VGA port & my laptop monitor is 60Hz refresh rate.. 
My question is will i get full refresh or a lower one if i connect monitor with laptop? How to know my ports supporting refresh rate???

 

Pl guys, if you have ay idea do respond asap.

No, bot HDMI and VGA ports on your machine won't support 165Hz monitors.
