In November of 2020, I purchased an HP ENVY x360 convertible. I didn't use my laptop much back then. My utilization has increased recently as a result of online classes. I realized something was incorrect with the screen or display around a week ago (externally). I believe the screen is separating from the bottom left corner. My laptop's warranty has expired but I applied for an extended warranty at the time of purchase and I paid the desired amount to the distributer, still I couldn't claim the warranty. I went to the HP shop and they told the cost would be INR 25K to 30K. Are you serious? It's your fault; it's due to your lousy and ineffective design. I paid INR 80k, and you're asking for 25K to 30K for repairs? I've always taken good care of this laptop, never dropping it or placing anything hard on it. I have never done anything that caused the screen hinge or anything else to come out. I'm even afraid to open the laptop since it makes a sound like the screen is about to fall off. According to online comments, this is a common problem with this model. I have even applied for extended 3 years warranty paid 1500 INR at the shop and still didn't get the warranty. You guys repair or replace computers that are still under warranty, but what about those of us who aren't? This is completely unjust. The same problem - if it happens in a year, you receive a new one or a free repair, but if it happens within a year and a day, you have to pay INR 30k. We spend INR 80K , and you only provide a one-year warranty? This is not the case. It is completely unjust. I would not have purchased this laptop if I had read the reviews first. HP should recall the envy laptops.
