Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Elite X2 G8 and a Surface Pen. I was able to bluetooth connect the pen to the computer but the writing doesn't work. The eraser button works and opens Windows Ink Workspace whiteboard but the pen won't write. It also won't write in OneNote or Paint. The touchscreen is working as I can make marks with my finger in all these apps. I've tried resetting the pen, disconnecting and reconnecting, making sure my computer has installed all available updates through the HP Support Assistant and Window's Updates settings. I've looked in my Device Manager and the Bluetooth section shows the Surface Pen listed with the most up to date driver. I saw something about needing the correct MPP driver but can't find anything anywhere to tell me which one my computer has or how to find out.

How do I get this Surface Pen to work with my computer?
