HP Elite x360 1040 14 inch G11 2-in-1 Notebook PC (8Y1P5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Whenever I connect an external monitor to my Elite x360 laptop, a pop-up message from Windows appears that says:

Get an app to open this 'hpx' link

What is this about? I tried to research this but couldn't find any information.
I also checked the manuals but there is no mention of HPX.

I even tried to open a case directly with HP: they closed after two weeks with no response.

Bump... According to an online discussion, this appears on any G11 notebooks that don't have the "MyHP" software installed.

Looking at MyHP, this is only bloatware.

"This package contains myHP, HP Presence and HP System Control."

Do I need to install 3 HP bloatwares on company devices just because...?

Can we get a statement from HP about this? How can we disable this popup without installing bloatware?

Just keep it up with the [Content Removed] like the rest of the industry. Thanks for nothing. Reconsidering HP as company-wide device fleet at this point.

Thank you very much for this. Deeply disappointed with HP.
Can you link the other discussion please?

have the same pop-up on x360 1040 G11 2 in 1, I believe HP understand from a corporate point of view, we manage as less as much possible when it comes to application.
