I am trying to setup my thunderbolt Dock G2 with 4 monitors. I tried the setup suggested but this does not work.
From page 16 of the following guide:
http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04168358.pdf
It suggests:
(1) 4096 x 2160 @ 60Hz from TB port
(2) 2560x1440 @ 60Hz from DP ports or DP + USB-C® alt
(1) 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz from DP or USB-C® Alt mode
So here is what I have tried:
TB port - usb-c to hdmi (also tried usb-c to displayport) on monitor 1
DisplayPort 1 - displayport to displayport on monitor 2
DisplayPort2 - displayport to displayport on monitor 3
Usb alt displayport - usb-c to hdmi ( also tried usb-c to displayport) on monitor 4
No matter what I do, in any combination, it only ever supports 3 monitors. Do I need different adapters? Do I need different cables? What kind of cable should I be using on the TB port) My monitors are hp 27n g2 which support usb-c, displayport in and out, hdmi, dvi, etc...
Thanks,
Andy
