Hi please help before i reformat it the touch pad is working after the reformat the touch pad is not working and when in setup there is no cursor available and i check the device manager there is no touch pad need to install the driver and but i also try to install synaptics nothing happens what should i do i badly needed that laptop for my schooling

Hi TobiTobiTobi,
Please make sure to check in Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices. See if there is anything with an error. If you do see it, right-click and Uninstall Device.
Also try these driver packages:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72846.exe
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp85001-85500/sp85070.exe
I'm wondering if there may be a BIOS setting you have to adjust. Also, make sure you have all the latest Windows updates. See if HP Support Assistant can locate the correct driver for you.
