@Tam_82, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
This kind of touchscreen behavior when the AC adapter is plugged in is often related to electrical interference or grounding issues. Here are some steps you can try to fix the problem with your HP Envy x360 15.6 (model 15-fe0000):
Update Drivers and BIOS
Update touchscreen drivers:
Go to Device Manager > Human Interface Devices > find HID-compliant touch screen.
Right-click and select Update driver.
Update chipset and power management drivers from HP's support website.
Update BIOS to the latest version available for your model on HP's website.
Change Power Settings
Sometimes power settings related to USB or device power can cause interference.
Go to Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers.
For each USB Root Hub or Generic USB Hub, right-click > Properties > Power Management tab.
Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
Also, check Windows Power Options and set the laptop to High performance.
Check for Electrical Interference or Grounding Issues
Try plugging your charger into a different power outlet, ideally on a different circuit or with a better ground.
Avoid using extension cords or power strips that might cause noise or grounding issues.
If you are using a third-party charger, switch to the official HP charger.
Disable and Re-enable Touchscreen Device
In Device Manager, disable the HID-compliant touch screen and then re-enable it.
Calibrate or Reset Touchscreen
Search "Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input" in Windows and run the calibration tool.
You can also try resetting the touchscreen settings.
Run Windows Troubleshooter
Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Hardware and Devices.
Test in Safe Mode
Boot into Safe Mode to see if the touchscreen works properly with the AC adapter plugged in. If it does, the issue might be caused by some software conflict or driver.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
