Hello,
Recently I changed my Windows 10 (The one which came with my PC) to Windows 10 22H2 and my touchpad stopped working. Earlier it worked with some lags but now it completely stopped. I installed some drivers from the page for my product but that didn't help. Now I upgraded my PC to Windows 11 but still it doesn't work. Doesn't affect an external mouse though. So I checked BIOS diagnostics and the touchpad works there. I went to device manager and found a warning triangle on "I2C HID Device" and it says code 10 that the device cannot start. A request for the HOD descriptor failed.
My laptop is HP 15s-EQ0144AU

If the system has been replaced and the AMD graphics card driver (including the I2C controller driver) has been installed, it still cannot be solved.
Next, it is recommended to update the computer BIOS, or contact the local HP authorized service center to further check the hardware.
