HP ENVY - 13-aq0008no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

In November last year I bought my HP ENVY laptop. I works almost flawless, but it has one issue.

The situation is: Windows was already installed on my laptop. Then I deleted windows and did a dual boot with Linux and Windows. After this, in Windows the touchpad two finger scrolling was not working anymore.

I tried: Downloading the Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices Drivers for the HP ENVY laptop, which supports Windows version 1809 and version 1903. Now, the problem here is that the Windows version of my laptop is 1909, and the installation doesn't allow me to proceed. I also tried to download the touchpad driver for the newer HP Elite Dragonfly, with the result that it didn't do anything.

I am asking for: is if anybody knows if there is a touchpad driver for an HP ENVY - 13-aq0008no laptop, compatible with Windows version 1909, and if so, if he/she can tell me where to download it.

Hopefully someone can find me a solution.

Thank you from

Elma Harmsen

@ElmaHarmsen I must let you know that HP does not support or recommend using the dual boot, or Linux for that matter, if you've installed a retail copy of windows on the device, that could be the reason the drivers are missing or incompatible, here's what we suggest you do, to resolve this issue:

Make use of an HP Recovery Media to reinstall the OEM version of the OS back on your device, If you don't have an HP Recovery media and have attempted reset using the windows troubleshooter or a retail copy of windows, you'll need to order a recovery media: Click here for steps.

Or you may also attempt to download the same using the steps on this link: click here

Hello,

Thanks for your quick reply.

I tried your suggested solution of trying the HP Cloud Recovery tool, and it worked. Also, I tried the dual boot with Linux and that was also a success! The touchpad is working again as it should, for both Windows 10 and Linux.

Thanks again from
