That it should be visible in NVIDIA Control Panel...

Could you move mouse pointer beyond the edge of screen 1 and "feel" that the screen is there?

Yes - I can move my mouse and drag windows between screens since I've extended my desktop across both monitors.

Then NVIDIA Control Panel should show the menu for changing the resolution after plugging in the monitor.

Nope. What I pasted from the screenshot is all I get. And good luck looking for help on Nvidia's website. I don't game so I don't need it.
