Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I have HP Spectra x13, model number 13-aw2024na (HP Spectre x360 13-aw2024na Convertible Laptop - Core™ i7 - HP Store UK). The specs for this suggests the USB-C ports are full Thunderbolt 4 capable. I in turn have this laptop connected to an Anker Thunderbolt 4 dock. I am using full certified Thunderbolt 4 cable from laptop to dock, and am using the angled port.

However I am getting a warning in Windows: "Display connection might be limited - Make sure the DisplayPort you're connecting to is supported by your PC"

I have tried flicking the BIOS setting for High Resolution mode for USB-C Alt DP port from Disabled to Enabled but neither option makes a difference.

What do I need to do to make this warning go away. From what I can tell I am using all certified components that should support it fully.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I already run HP Support Assistant and that tells me there are no updates available. I have also installed Intel's own direct equivalent and that tells me it's all up to date as well.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Hi,

Apologies for not responding to this. I've been really busy at work recently.

I will check and reply to your private messages. If it helps I've had a rather thorough conversation about this on the Intel forum, and they eventually gave up and suggested I get in touch with HP.
