Hi,

until a few days ago I was using a Dell U2721DE monitor through USB-C on my laptop, but when booting today it was not recognised. There is apparently no connection to the monitor through either USB-C port. I am not using a usb to hdmi adapter, the was working directly with USB-C. The only thing that has changed is that in the meantime I used it on a different monitor though a usb-c hp hub at work for one day. Now on my home monitor it won't work.

Any ideas / help?

Thanks.

Theo

P.S. the HP support pages are very poor and frustrating - I cannot find any way to actually talk or contact anyone - the pages send you in a loop - this community is my only option. If I don't get any help from HP, I will never buy a thing from them again. Already regretting this computer. The hdmi port cannot support 4k or > 30Hz refresh so I really have to use the USB-C port.

Fixed - I unplugged both ends of the usb-c cable. Then plugged both back in. This seems to make the monitor reset and it appeared in display settings again.
