I'm trying to use the USB-C to connect 2 monitors to my laptop for work. When I plug in the USB-C adapter that has 2 HDMI nothing shows up. I know the adapter works because it works on my ASUS laptop. I get a windows popup message "Display connection might be limited" and nothing shows up.
Windows and Bios all show up to date.
I checked the windows device manager and nothing shows as unknown.
Is there a driver or something I need to get the USB-C to allow the displays to work?

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/hk-en/document/ish_7737425-7737469-16
It has 1 useless USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C port SuperSpeed 5 Gbps signaling rate (data transfer only, charging or external monitors not supported) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
