Hello,
I'm having trouble using the USB-C port on my HP Victus 16 laptop to connect an external monitor via a USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable. Although the cable works perfectly with other computers and my monitor supports DisplayPort 1.4, my laptop fails to detect the monitor.
I have already updated the drivers and firmware, but the issue persists. Has anyone encountered this problem before or found a workaround? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @bulentkrcnc,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I completely understand how frustrating it must be to have trouble connecting your Victus 16 PC to a display using the USB-C port. I’m really sorry you're dealing with this.
Let’s try a step-by-step approach to get this sorted. First, I recommend performing a BIOS Restore, which can help reset the system-level settings that might be causing the issue. Once that’s done, head over to the HP website to install the latest BIOS update. You can also use HP Support Assistant to automatically detect and install any missing or outdated drivers that might be affecting the USB-C functionality.
Give this a try and let me know how it goes! I’m happy to assist further if needed.
BIOS Restore :
1) Shutdown the computer and keep the charger plugged
2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B button until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow on-screen instructions and click on OK

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
