Hi For ENVY 13-aq0000na, please can you tell me the max external screen resolution. I want to purchase a 27" 2560 x 1440 resolution and want to know: - Will the USB type C adatped to HDMI support my external screen at 2560 x 1440 resolution? - Will this model ENVY be able to support this external resolution.  - What connection must I use, do I connect into the USB type C and use a HDMI adopter? Thanks, Graham

Looking at its specs

 

     https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c06343561

 

The USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (5 Gb/s signaling rate, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge) does not say anything about ALT mode therefore the chance to get USB-C to HDMI to work is very slim.

 

The following cable may work I have not tested it with higher resolution monitors:
