Wireless Rechargeable USI Pen not working on HP Chromebook x360 14C

Recently purchased an HP Chromebook x360 14c and a Wireless Rechargeable USI Pen, the Pen does not work, doesn't seem to charge with magnetic charging, minimal instructions in user guide, please offer advice on a fix.

Unfortunately the similar issue I was directed to did not help. Can someone confirm that the HP Rechargeable USI Pen is compatible with the HP Chromebook x360 14C, The magnetic charging does not seem to charge the magnetic USI pen when attached to the magnetic section of the chromebook and there appears to be no indicator whether the pen is charging.
