Hi @Sameer_Shaikh,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand how frustrating it must be to deal with flickering and color issues on your laptop screen, especially when you're trying to focus on work or entertainment. Let’s try a few steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve this.
- Does the issue appear immediately after turning on the laptop, or does it develop after some time of usage?
- Does the screen flicker or show the yellow line in certain applications, or is it present across all screens (e.g., desktop, web browsing, videos)?
- Have you checked if the screen behaves differently when plugged into an external monitor or during startup (before Windows loads)?
Let's try these steps.
Restart the Laptop:
- First, try restarting the laptop to see if the issue resolves itself. Sometimes, a simple reboot can fix display glitches.
Update or Reinstall Graphics Drivers:
- Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers could cause screen anomalies like flickering.
- Go to Device Manager > Display Adapters, right-click your graphics card, and choose Update Driver.
- Alternatively, uninstall the driver and reinstall the latest version from the HP support website or directly from your GPU manufacturer (Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA).
Check Screen Resolution and Refresh Rate:
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display Settings.
- Ensure that your screen resolution is set to the recommended setting, and check the refresh rate to make sure it’s at the optimal value (usually 60Hz for most laptops).
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Sometimes a hard reset can fix display issues. Turn off the laptop, unplug it, and remove the battery (if possible). Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds. Then, plug everything back in and power it on again.
Test with an External Monitor:
- If you have an external monitor available, connect your laptop to it using HDMI or another suitable cable.
- This will help determine if the issue is with the internal screen or if it’s a problem with the laptop’s graphics card. If the external monitor works fine, the problem is likely with your laptop's screen itself.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the screen itself, which may require repair.
Keep me posted for further assistance
