HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0008ne

Hp Envy 360 Screen hinge brokenHp Envy 360 Screen hinge brokenHp  Envy360 screen is popping out, I can see the inside! I bought my PC 2 years and 6 months ago, and after a few months I noticed that whenever I charge it, it overheats to an extent that you feel its about to explode, while that did not happen, the screen is now coming apart and when opening and closing the PC I hear a cracking noise.  It was not dropped or hit...From what I have read, this seems to be a very common problem with HP envy laptops, poor design or manufacturing? For such a high cost one would expect high quality manufacturing, unfortunately this is clearly not the case.  Customers should not be repsonisble for fixing this defect out of their own pockets.

I contacted HP support, and was told that I will need to cover the cost of repairs since my warranty expired last year.  My laptop cost me 1200 USD, and after a little over 2 years my screen is coming apart, when most complaints about HP Envy 360 Convertible are related to screen hinge breaking within the first 2 to 3 years,  HP should take responsibility and recall the Laptops to fix this defect or cover the cost of repair.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
