Hi @nikola997,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for reaching out! If your HP PC camera isn't working, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Basic Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check the Camera Privacy Switch or Shutter
    • Some HP laptops have a physical switch or shutter near the webcam. Make sure it’s not covering the lens or turned off.
    • Also, check for a keyboard key (often F8 or F10) with a camera icon—press it (sometimes with Fn) to toggle the camera.

  2. Use the Camera App
  3. Update or Reinstall the Camera Driver
    • Open Device Manager (Windows + X > Device Manager)
    • Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras
    • Right-click your camera > Update driver or Uninstall device, then restart your PC.

  4. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
    • Download and run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
    • Use the Camera Test to check for hardware issues.

  5. Check App Permissions
    • Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera
    • Make sure Camera access is turned on for apps you want to use (like Zoom, Teams, etc.)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
