Hi @nikola997,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for reaching out! If your HP PC camera isn't working, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Basic Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the Camera Privacy Switch or Shutter
- Some HP laptops have a physical switch or shutter near the webcam. Make sure it’s not covering the lens or turned off.
- Also, check for a keyboard key (often F8 or F10) with a camera icon—press it (sometimes with Fn) to toggle the camera.
- Use the Camera App
- Press Windows + S, type Camera, and open the Camera app.
- If it says “We can’t find your camera” or shows error code 0xA00F4244, follow the steps in this HP guide: 🔗 HP PCs - "We can't find your camera" error is displayed in Camera app in Windows 10 | HP® Support
- Update or Reinstall the Camera Driver
- Open Device Manager (Windows + X > Device Manager)
- Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras
- Right-click your camera > Update driver or Uninstall device, then restart your PC.
- Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Download and run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
- Use the Camera Test to check for hardware issues.
- Check App Permissions
- Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera
- Make sure Camera access is turned on for apps you want to use (like Zoom, Teams, etc.)
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
