I need to work with 2 screens displaying different documents,  Can I accomplish this using my HP Envy 15 Notebook PC-Model E1P05A.  If yes what hardware do I need?

Hi,

I think its feasible. All you need to do is connect a HDMI TV to your HP 15.. Then press CTRL+P to give you options to extend the monitor.

I was able to connect to an external monitor.  The problem is that the added monitor displays exactly what is on the laptop monitor.  I am trying to create an environment where I open 2 different applications and display each on a separate monitor.  Ctrl P did not help.  Thanks.

Hi,

It is Windows+P.  Thanks so much.  If I connect to a third monitor, can I accomplish the same and multi-task?
