@lil83, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that your camera isn't working. Let's try to troubleshoot the issue together. Here are a few steps you can follow:
Check Device Manager:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Imaging devices section.
- Look for your camera (it might be listed as HP HD Camera or similar).
- If there's a yellow exclamation mark, right-click and select Update driver.
Update Camera Driver:
- Go to the HP Support page.
- Enter your product number and download the latest camera driver.
- Install the driver and restart your laptop.
Check Camera Privacy Settings:
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
- Ensure that camera access is turned on for your device and apps.
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Additional troubleshooters and then Camera.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Check for updates and install any available updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
