@lil83, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that your camera isn't working. Let's try to troubleshoot the issue together. Here are a few steps you can follow:

Check Device Manager:

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Imaging devices section.
  • Look for your camera (it might be listed as HP HD Camera or similar).
  • If there's a yellow exclamation mark, right-click and select Update driver.

Update Camera Driver:

  • Go to the HP Support page.
  • Enter your product number and download the latest camera driver.
  • Install the driver and restart your laptop.

Check Camera Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
  • Ensure that camera access is turned on for your device and apps.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select Additional troubleshooters and then Camera.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Check for updates and install any available updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
