Hi @Yash188,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for reaching out about the flickering display and horizontal white line on your HP 14-f1000 (2L1B0AV) laptop — that can indeed be frustrating. Let's walk through some troubleshooting steps first and see if this helps.
Step 1: Troubleshooting First
- Test with External Monitor
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor via HDMI.
- If the external display is clean, that typically suggests the internal cable or panel is faulty.
- If the external display also flickers, the issue might be graphics hardware.
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor via HDMI.
- Adjust Refresh Rate
- Go to Settings → System → Display → Advanced display settings, select your laptop panel, and try lowering the refresh rate (e.g. from 60Hz to 50Hz or 48Hz).

- Update Graphics Driver
- Use HP Support Assistant or visit the HP drivers page for your model to ensure you have the correct and latest Intel or AMD graphics driver installed.

- BIOS Update
- A BIOS update can sometimes resolve display communication glitches. Use HP Support Assistant or download f.36 Rev.A from the HP Support page: HP 14 inch Laptop PC 14-f1000 Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support.
If the problem only appears on the laptop screen and not on the external monitor, even after these steps, it strongly suggests a fault in the internal video cable or LCD panel.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
