Product: HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ey0000 (54J84AV)

Hi. My Envy got stuck in tablet mode. things are normal when connected to external monitor, but when used as laptop ...it doesn't respond to flipping and provide the functionality and look of the tablet. keyboard and power button works fine though.

tried most of the suggestions of windows update and SFC checking with no change, even tried changing the screen lock manipulating as well as the registry editor fix. It seems that the sensor failing to feel it is flipped or un-flipped is not working. pls help as this is very frustrating and counter productive.
