Hi @sarvesh14

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

It sounds like your HP Wireless X200 mouse is experiencing sensitivity or tracking issues. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Check the Surface: Make sure you’re using the mouse on a suitable surface. Some surfaces can interfere with the sensor. A mouse pad is usually the best option.

Adjust Mouse Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Mouse.
  • Adjust the pointer speed and see if lowering it helps. You can also check the scrolling settings to ensure they're not set too fast.

Clean the Mouse: Dust or debris on the sensor can cause erratic behavior. Use a soft cloth to clean the bottom of the mouse, especially around the sensor area.

Change Batteries: If your mouse is battery-operated, low battery levels can sometimes affect performance. Try replacing the batteries with fresh ones.

Bluetooth/USB Receiver: If your mouse uses a USB receiver, ensure it’s plugged in securely and try using a different USB port. If it's Bluetooth, try disconnecting and reconnecting it.

Driver Update:

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand the Mice and other pointing devices section, right-click on your mouse, and select Update driver.

Test on Another Device: If possible, try the mouse on another computer. This can help determine if the issue is with the mouse itself or your laptop.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
