Here is the solution to resolve PCI Express Root Complex driver Issue Click here to view the instructions!
HP Recommended

Thank you Dunidar for your patience and will for help. I just don't think that I have enought patience anymore to try more driver installation order combination nor system restores.

I did try the factory restore as I mentioned in one of my previous posts, but since default system was Linux and I don't have any programs that run on Linux and I have no experience with that OS, I don't know if it detects my second video card. I tried installing Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit afterwords, but the problem was same as with windows 8.1. Right now I am using Win8.1 Enterprise x64 and i think I will stick to it.

I have sent you info you asked in PM, but I am very sceptical about resoultion to this problem, since, as Petruts mentioned, I am not the only one with this problem and there were other HP laptop models which had the same issues in the past. I have searched many many forums about my problem before posting here and I there was no one who found a solution. Every forum topic ended either by a HP customer service proffessional redirecting the user to another forum since this is a Bussiness model laptop, or by unreplied posts.

I am really surprised that you Dunidar didn't say that my issue would be best answered on the HP Enterprise Business Community Forum,

I think that the best thing, and probably the only solution would be to write a petition for HP to release a new BIOS upgrade which could enable fixed mode graphics.

Hi!

You must have strong nerves like all of us with the same problem in this topic.

HP experts are blind and deaf.

I got the i7, if i look at devices i got AMD RADEON HD 8750M working fine, but games or programs only show the intel driver and board available

I have deactivated the intel card, and it looks like i have no video card (but in device I see clear AMD RADEON HD 8750M), there will be a solution for this in 2014? I am really mad

Hello, man. How i can to write a petition for HP to release a new BIOS upgrade? I have the same laptop. Thanks.

Ok i found the secret, the dedicated video card only goes on when it's needed, if you can run something with integrated one the dedicated will sleep.  Go to Configure Switchable Graphics and select what you wanna run at high performance. You can't activate only dedicated card, because it goes only with the integrated one.

Im also having a ton of issues with the radeon card not showing up

.  I cant even see it in the device manager even under hidden devices.

The card was there when I first installed win7 but tried changing settings to get soe more frames per second.

I have no idea how to get the device back in the device manager and so far none of the drivers work.

Without a solution Ill have to take this new 1 month old laptop back to the shop and apply for a replacement.

I suggest we get HP to listen by taking these laptops back for warrenty and hit them where it hurts.

Unless of course we get an update bios or driver to fix it
