HP Laptop 14-bw0xx AMD A4-9120 Radeon R3
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I upgraded Windows from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1, but I cannot use a second screen from vga interface.

The error message after I press F4 button is "Your PC can't project to another screen. Try installing the driver or using a different video card"

I have tried using HP support assistant but still in trouble. Please help.

Hi,

You could try to install the AMD drivers for the APU from here.

https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-series-processors/amd-a4-series-apu-for-laptops/a4-7210-radeo...

Hope it helps,

David

Thank you for your reply.

I have tried but the installation stopped, the message display is "components are already installed".  The F4 button still not function and have the same message. Is there other possibility?

Hi David,

Finally it is solved.

I used the driver as in your link. On the device manager, I update the driver on the Display Adapter menu. It changed from standar Microsoft to AMD. It works.

Thank you so much.
