Hello,

I am trying to conent to a an Acer projector (i am unblable to get model) in my university. The projector is connected with a LAN cable to an extender where the users connect using VGA port.  As a lot of us a new Pc that only has HMDI port we buy an adapter ( https://www.extrastar.es/product/adaptador-hdmii-macho-vga-hembra-cj192/) that work for all less than for me.  When I connect the adaptor is recognized (i see as diplay) but the projector don't receive any signal. The strage think is that i use the same adaptor to connect successfully to a VGA monitor.

I just try the following soliution without success:

1)update all drivers

2) unistall and reinstall video and monitor drivers

3) changing resolution

4) switching disply setting using f4 or win+P keys

Any idea?

Thank you very kmuch in advance

Vincenzo

@Vincenzo11 Its most likely a compatibility issue, considering an alternate monitor works fine,

however, if its working fine on another device while issues with the port continue, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
