Hello!
Recently we've bought the second laptop. Today we've tested speed of our wi-fi connection. On my old laptop receiving speed was about 60 Mbit/s and outgoing speed about 80 Mbit/s. But on my new laptop it was a lot less - 25Mbit and 34 Mbit. We've tried to reinstall the drivers but it never helped. Could you please give me any suggestions what I can to do to increase the wi-fi speed.
Best regards,
Olena

Wireless speed is slow on the new PC. Is that right?
Thank you for sharing the issue details. I would like to help you.
I recommend you try the steps below and check if that improves the speed of the Wi-Fi.
- On the desktop (or on the Start screen), right-tap the bottom left corner to open the Quick Access Menu and choose Device Manager on it.
- Under Device Manager, look for your Wireless Card (BCM43142 802.11 ban Wi-Fi M.2 adapter). Double click on your Wireless card.
- A new window will appear, go to ‘Advanced’ tab
- Select ‘Roaming Aggressiveness’
- Under the Value, select ‘Highest’. This setting allows you to define how aggressively your wireless client roams to improve connection to an access point.
- Select ‘Throughput Enhancement’,
- Set the value to ‘enable’. Throughput Enhancement – Enhance the transmit throughput by enabling packet bursting.
Hope this helps. Let me know for more.
Happy posting.
