Service Manual

It's Intel or Realtek wireless.

Intel driver:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29902/Windows-10-Wi-Fi-Drivers-for-Intel-Wireless-Adapters...

Realtek driver can be downloaded from the link in the last post here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Realtek-RTL8822BE-802-11ac-PCIe-Adapt...

If neither of these works then I am thinking the wireless card is bad and needs replacement. Pretty inexpensive and fairly easy to do. See p. 35 of the Manual

I put both drivers on a Flash Drive and tried them both.   Rebooted the computer after the install. Received 2 Error Messages,

1. "Windows did not detect a properly installed Network Adapter.  If you have a Network Adapter, you will need to re-install the driver".

2. "Windows could not find a driver for your Network Adapter"

Getting a little frustrated.  Maybe it's a hardware issue...maybe the Network Adapter is loose on the main board...?

Any other suggestions.  I am not willing to spend any more money on this machine.  I did have to buy a new power cord.

Sorry, hit reply too quickly.  There are no available connections and the Network Connection Folder is empty.

Then the wifi card is bad. It is socketed on the motherboard and can be replaced. Maybe $15 for a new one. The Manual shows how to open the laptop.

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

I am going to take apart the machine and see what's going on.

Thank you.
