Hi @SSAzzi

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 3790 printer is not showing up in the Wi-Fi settings on your iPad, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Check Printer Connections:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad. If the printer has a display, you can check its Wi-Fi status directly.

2. Reset the Printer's Network Settings:

  • On the printer, go to the Settings menu and look for Network or Wireless settings. Reset the network settings to default and reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network.

3. Reboot Devices:

  • Restart both your printer and your iPad. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.

4. Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • If you're using the HP Smart app, uninstall and reinstall it. Then, try adding your printer again.

5. Check Wi-Fi Network:

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is working properly. Try connecting another device (like a smartphone or laptop) to the Wi-Fi to confirm it's functioning.

6. Update Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP Support website. Keeping the printer's firmware up to date can improve connectivity.

7. Use WPS to Connect:

  • If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), press the WPS button on your router and then initiate the WPS connection on the printer. This can simplify the connection process.

8. Check for Interference:

  • Ensure there are no devices causing interference with the Wi-Fi signal, such as microwaves or cordless phones.

9. Manual IP Address Entry:

  • If you know the printer's IP address, you can try adding it manually on your iPad by going to Settings > Wi-Fi, selecting your network, and entering the printer's IP address.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
