Does my HP Pavillion have bluetooth? (Its not working)

Got this HP PAVILION 15-N077SO, but it seem to have no bluetooth?!  Or is it turned off somehow? How can I turn it on? Or does this model have bluetooth at all?

Hi:

The product specs for your notebook indicate that it has Wi-Fi only, not a combination Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter.

If you want to add Bluetooth to your notebook, you can either purchase a USB Bluetooth adapter or replace the existing Wi-Fi adapter with either one of these models, which would also be an upgrade to the Wi-Fi:

But then, how come there are Bluetooth drivers in the list for same laptop with Windows 8 installed,  that it was shipped with when new.

My client who own this particular PC, says it had working bluetooth when it was new.

The strange thing is for me, is that normally Windows 8 drivers works also with Windows 10. But maybe not in this case...

W10 has built in Bluetooth software whether or not the hardware exists.

The notebook probably has the Realtek RTL8188EE Wi-Fi card which is a single band, non-Bluetooth card.

There is no separate Bluetooth module in that model series like there was in older notebooks.

If you let me know exactly what model Wi-Fi adapter the notebook has, I can tell you with certainty whether or not it came with a Bluetooth radio on the Wi-Fi card's circuit board.

The fact that there are Bluetooth drivers listed on the support page doesn't mean that specific model has Bluetooth.

HP uploads the drivers for the entire model series on the support page and they come configured with different hardware.

Yes, it has  Realtek RTL8188EE, so I give up and buy an external Bluetoot dongle instead. Any suggestion?

Yes, you either buy a USB Bluetooth adapter or replace the Realtek RTL8188EE with one of the two Wi-Fi adapter models I posted earlier today.

You should be able to find either one of those on eBay.

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.

Plus, those cards offer dual band AC as well as Bluetooth instead of just the single band 2.4 GHz N the Realtek card has.

Takes about 5 minutes to physically replace the Wi-Fi card.
