My laptop is stuck in what is apparently some sort of airplane mode. The function key F12 doubles up as a special key to toggle this mode. There is a light on the key which is currently amber, and when I press it it will not change. It seems to have disabled the wireless network adapter, and the device manager doesn't even show that there is one. It does not show available WiFi networks, or even the symbol for them. Only a icon informing that there is no Ethernet cable plugged in. I can't find any way to turn off this mode, I'm not sure if the actual key is broken or if there's a bigger issue. please help!No WiFi options availableNo WiFi options available

Hi @Allottedcorgi82

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Try these steps -

1) In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results.

2) In Device Manager, select Network adapters > the network adapter name.

3) Right-click on the network adapter, and then select Uninstall device > Delete the driver software for this device check box > Uninstall.

4) Restart the computer.

If the button is physically stuck, refer to this video link for steps - How to Fix Stuck Keys on HP Notebooks

Let me know how that goes.
