HP 15 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A little over a month ago I started having these issues. My laptop will receive frequent high latency spikes about every 10 to 20 seconds through a wireless connection, and when I connect using an ethernet to get a wired connection, I receive frequent packet loss at around the same rate as I receive the latency spikes on wireless.

At first I assumed it was my ISP, so I contacted them and they walked me through steps to try and resolve this. It didn't work, so I ran some tests on my PC and another laptop, and neither of them had the issues my laptop had; the PC did not receive packet loss, and the laptop did not receive latency spikes or packet loss when I connected it via ethernet.

So I now believe it is an issue my laptop is having, because none of the other devices have the same internet issues mine is having.

Seriously considering just resetting my laptop and seeing if that works.

Need specific model number of the laptop to know what networking hardware you have. Have you run a full malware/virus scan?

I found the model number I believe; 15-f215dx. I have run a malware/virus scan. No issues.

Not a terrible idea. If you call HP Support that is what they would make you do.

Do you know of anything else I Could try? Not even able to find anything on this issue.

Me, either. Try the restore to factory and see what it does and report back.

Resetting my computer did resolve this issue.

Good to know. My guess then is it was malware or some software corruption.
