HP Notebook - 14s-dk0020au

HP 14-DK0020AU with Windows 11 Home - the problem is a low wi-fi signal, which has only started happening in the last week or so, unless the laptop is next to the modem. It is not a full signal when using my mobile phone as a Mobile Hotspot.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Realtek Wi-Fi driver to the latest version HP currently has for the RTL8821CE Wi-Fi adapter:

2024.10.229.0

Thanks Paulk. I did as you suggested and am still having a problem.

When I opened up Devic Manager and then the driver properties from the list under Network Adapter, it showed the driver could not start, the message is "

Device PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_C821&SUBSYS_831A103C&REV_00\4&1af57163&0&000F had a problem starting.

Driver Name: oem11.inf
Class Guid: {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
Service: RTWlanE

Upper Filters: vwifibus
Problem: 0x0
Problem Status: 0xC00000E5"
