Hello winewiz,

Oh My! 

I just was going to address problems with the HP 4500 printer, but which do you have 4500 or 5540?  Makes a whale of a difference.  

 

Also what Operating System on the computer:  Windows, Mac iOS, etc.

 

... and as long as we are on questions, 

-Did this happen after something changed?  .. such as Win 10 update, router on/off, moved the printer to new location in relation to either the router or computer, new electronic device nearby such as wireless phone?  .. or anything else?

- I assume you do not have the printer connected to the computer with USB cable?

 

The blue light burns a steady blue when printer is connected to wi-fi (wireless between the printer and router/modem).  The blinking indicates it is not.
