HP Envy 4501
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Envy stopped working and does not detect my wi-fi signal.  I am on a wireless network with Win10 64bit installed on my laptop.

I have rebooted my router and reset the printer to factory default.  I uninstalled the device but cannot reinstall it because the printer is not discoverable.  Network Status is offline, Active connection type is None on the HP Network Configuration Page

The network test results suggest that Mac Address filtering might be enabled on the router, but that is not the case.  I do remember briefly losing internet access a couple of days ago, but all of my other devices are working without issue.

Finally, the blue wireless light is blinking and there is a low hum coming from the device. that varies in loudness with the blinking light

@Layard

I reviewed your post and I understand that the printer is not connecting to the wireless network.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Does your router support dual band? Are the computer and the printer connected to the same network?

NOTE: The printer supports only the 2.4GHz band so make sure that the printer and the computer are connected to the same network.

Meanwhile, I recommend you run the HP print and scan doctor and it will automatically find and fix the wireless issues.

Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from this Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

Run PSDR

Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.

Select the correct Printer and click on Next.

PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing

Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.

Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”

PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.

Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue.  If no issue found close PSDR.

Also, try using the HP Smart App and let me know if that helps. Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/hp-smart/9wzdncrfhwlh
