My laptop has had problems for a while where, even though it claims I have full bars, I have my internet connection go to a complete crawl; videos don't load, webpages take many times longer to load than normal, etc. The issue doesn't occur all the time, but happens at least a few times a day, depending upon how much I use, and, therefore notice it. I can sometimes get the internet speed back to normal for a matter of seconds by turning my wireless off and on, but it doesn't usually solve the issue for more than a few seconds at a time, leaving me to simply waiting it out until it seems to work better later on.
For solutions, I've downloaded the latest drivers for my ac-7265 wireless adapter, changed adapter settings (such as Roaming Agressiveness) in order to get better stability, and disabled the Bluetooth feature (some had suggested it could cause interference), but none have solved my problem.
Any suggestions as to potential fixes for the issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are getting the slow network connection issue.
I have a few steps to resolve the issue:
Since you've already reinstalled drivers, I would recommend using an Ethernet cable (Wired) and update your Wi-Fi drivers using this link
Update the bios by visiting this link or through support assistant using an Ethernet cable.
Now try to connect to the internet wireless.
The best way to do that is using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:
Click here to access it (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others and please give the same post a Kudos.
Cheers.

Hi Sandytech20,
I tried the possible fixes you mentioned, but unfortunately none of them fixed my issue with the stability of my wireless connection so far; the Realtek drivers did nothing to fix the issue, and the BIOS update actually failed, telling me it did not pass validation.
Have any idea as to why the update failed, as well as other potential fixes for the connect issue?

Thanks for the reply.
I appreciate your time and effort.
As I Understand you are are getting the error message - "bios image file specified did not pass validation",
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Have you attempted a BIOS recovery to resolve this concern?
If you haven't, Here is a link to HP Notebook PCs - Restoring the BIOS that should help you to overcome this difficulty.
Cheers.

@sandytechy20
I haven't tried restoring it as of yet, but would that be necessary in order to allow me to update my BIOS to the latest version? My Windows OS boots like normal. Also, would there be any loss of data or issues were I to restore the BIOS?

It's great to have you back 😉
It looks like you were interacting with @sandytechy20, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,
I'm the Barachiel & I'm at your service.
There will be no data loss when you try to recover the BIOS, hence go ahead and try performing the task.
Let me know. 🙂

@Barachiel
Thanks a lot for the support, I greatly appreciate both you and @sandytechy20 assisting me!
I just finished the BIOS recovery process and wanted to verify: should my next step by this point be to try updating the BIOS again?
I'm fairly familiar when it comes to most things related to PC troubleshooting, but things related to BIOS is a field in which I am sadly lacking . Because of that, and due to the very vital nature of things to do with BIOS, I'm trying to be very careful of following orders to the letter.

Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
I would recommend not to upgrade the bios, Give it sometime, keep it under observation, and then If required you might go for it. 🙂
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.
You've been great to work with and it has been a genuine pleasure interacting with you.

@Barachiel
After testing it out all throughout the day, I'm finding that the problem still persists, but it does seem to have gotten a bit less frequent and isn't quite as slow when the problem is occuring.
Do you have any other suggestions as to what may fix the problem?
