How to change mouse battery HP655 keyboard and mouse combo , i have changed for keyboard but its hard to find how to change for mouse the mouse stops worked intermitently i have to off than on then work but how long i am doing this please help

Steps to Replace the Battery in HP 655 Mouse

Turn the Mouse Off

  • Slide the power switch on the underside of the mouse to the Off position.

 

Locate the Battery Compartment

  • Flip the mouse over.
  • On the bottom side, you’ll see a small latch or cover near the back end.
  • Press gently on the latch and slide the cover off.

 

Remove the Old Battery

  • The mouse uses one AA battery.
  • Lift the battery out carefully.

 

Insert the New Battery

  • Place a fresh AA battery into the compartment, aligning the positive (+) and negative (–) ends with the markings inside.
  • Slide the cover back until it clicks securely into place.

 

Power On and Test

  • Switch the mouse back to On.
  • The LED light should blink briefly, indicating power.
  • Reconnect the mouse with your computer and test movement.

 

Key Point

Once the battery is replaced correctly, the intermittent stopping should no longer occur. If the mouse still requires frequent off/on toggling, it’s usually a sign of a weak battery or loose seating—so ensuring a firm fit and fresh battery should resolve it.
