Please help. Is this a good laptop to buy for work?

HP EliteBook 840 G10 Laptop intel Core i5 processor 13th Gen, 512GB ssd 16GB ram, windows 11, Touchscreen

Will do softwares like Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

 

Yes -this will do for light to moderate design tasks e.g. posters, brochures, small-to-medium-size InDesign layouts, photo retouching, web graphics -then an HP EliteBook 840 G10 is a reasonable, workable choice.

 

But for heavier work I would strongly recommend more RAM (32GB) and a machine with a dedicated GPU, such as the HP Victus fa2700TX 15.6" Gaming Laptop.  Don't let the "Gaming" designation discourage you: like I said, you definitely need more RAM (upgrade to 2x16GB) -regardless of whether you go for a Victus or not, and preferably paired with a dedicated GPU.
