HP Omen 15 2020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've turned on mobile hotspot but my Omen refuses to connect. The network is visible and showing full bars but on connecting it comes "Can't connect to this network."

Ps I've used the mobile hotspot to connect to other devices with no issues including an earlier HP ProBook.

Assuming the hotspot gives the info for the WiFi connection, did you provide the password for the hotspot to Windows?

Yes, I have. I've also removed the password entirely.

Sometimes Windows does weird things.  Reboot the laptop while the hotspot is on and then tell Windows to look at the choices for WiFi.  From the list it provides, then pick your hotspot and it should then ask for the password, once it is told to use that WiFi.

  Then things should correct themselves.

I ever face the same issue as yours... i did this,, and it works fine...

  1. Open your network and internet settings via control panel or right-click on your wifi icon on taskbar…
  2. Go to Wifi menu > Change adapter options…
  3. And then Right-click on your android wifi icon > Properties > double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > Set Obtain an Ip Address Automatically > Set “Obtain DNS Server Address” Automatically > OK
  4. Right-click on your android wifi icon > Disable
  5. Wait for around 1-2 minutes
  6. Enable it again

    Hope that will help you...
