I have two devices listed in Device Manager under Other Devices as Bluetooth Peripheral Device with drivers not installed (Code28). The Update Driver function doesn't come up with anything. Best as I know, I have installed all of the drivers from HP, and all of the updates.

Under Hardware IDs for Other Device #1 - Bluetooth Peripheral Device:Any idea on what this is and how to fix it?

BTHENUM\{a49eb41e-cb06-495c-9f4f-aa80a90cdf4a}_VID&00010075_PID&0100

BTHENUM\{a49eb41e-cb06-495c-9f4f-aa80a90cdf4a}_LOCALMFG&0002

For the 2nd device listed:

BTHENUM\{a49eb41e-cb06-495c-9f4f-bb80a90cdf00}_VID&00010075_PID&0100

BTHENUM\{a49eb41e-cb06-495c-9f4f-bb80a90cdf00}_LOCALMFG&0002

Any ideas on what this is and how to fix it?

Hi:

What model wifi adapter does your notebook come with?

If you don't know, go to the device manager, click to expand the network adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260. Driver is dated 04/29/2019, Ver 18.33.17.1 from Intel.

Hardware ID Value#1 is: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B1&SUBSYS_C0608086&REV_6B

OK, thanks.

Did you install the latest 7260 AC W7 BT driver from Intel as well?

Under the Bluetooth device manager category, there should be an Intel bluetooth device listed there.

If there is a generic Bluetooth device listed there, then you need to install the Intel BT driver.

If not, you need to.  The 2nd file down on the left is for W7 64 bit

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28807/Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-for-Windows-7-?product=7543...

If you have the W7 Intel BT driver installed already, then you don't have to install this one.

But if you want to, you have to first go into the Windows control panel>programs>uninstall a program, find the Intel bluetooth software program and uninstall it.

If the Intel BT driver is installed, then see if the info from Microsoft is of help to you.

Here is the link to the Vista 64 bit file...

1: Reinstalled the latest Intel Bluetooth Driver dated 29May2019, 1st removed the existing driver (same version #) then completely re-installed it as a fresh install. --- Same Problem, still two Bluetooth devices unitialized & w/o drivers.

2: Went to Windows site - I assume it contains Java Script - as I was immediately re-paged to the "Wonders of Upgrading to Win10" page. So, no help. Managed to manually download the Mobile DeviceCenter for Vista64bit, it ran and installed something, but no change - still two Bluetooth devices unitialized & w/o drivers.

3: Tried to both automaticallly & manually update Windows drivers via the "update driver, Search automatically for updated driver software - via the internet" function, no joy -  "Windows could not find driver software for your device."

I did compare to a ZBook 15 G1, and that machine has a driver I don't have:

"Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator", however, it has a different wireless module also - Centrino Advanced-N 6235.

I did confirm my wireless module is an Intel 7260NGW AN (which does not have AC support).

So, I am still at the same place. Windows doesn't tell me what the underlying hardware is, so I can not go out and manually find the needed drivers, and Windows can't find the needed drivers either.
