HP Pavilion Touchsmart Laptop/Notebook

My laptop wont find my home wifi network. i can connect to my mobile hotspot but my home wifi network isnt shown. ive tried messing with the router (unplugging it, restarting it, etc). all other wifi needing electronics can connect but my laptop just wont. ive tried turning off the wifi button and turning it back on, troubleshooting pretty much everything, uninstalling and reinstalling the activation device thing, i even went so far to reset my whole computer. Do i just need a new laptop? or is there something i can do to connect it? id really rather not get a whole new computer. but thanks.

I don't know what is your HP Pavilion but I believe it ONLY supports (and sees) 2.4GHz networks. Your router may ONLY broadcast 5.0GHz therefore your machine can't see.

Please allow your router to broadcast dual band which are 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz, your computer will see 2.4GHz network.

Regards.

It's still not showing up on my networks. I have the neighbour's wifis popping up and I can still connect to my phones Hotspot. It's just the home network that isn't showing up.
