HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium will connect wireless to my system. It appears that the IP address has been deleted.  How do I readd the IP address back.

@DebraB1, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium needs to reconnect wirelessly and its IP address has been deleted or altered, you can follow these steps to reassign an IP address:

Reconfigure Wireless Network Settings

Access the Printer Control Panel

  • From the Home screen on the printer control panel, navigate to the Setup menu.
  • Select Network Setup and then Wireless Setup Wizard.

Initiate Wireless Network Setup

  • The Wireless Setup Wizard will search for available networks.
  • Select your network from the list and then enter your Wi-Fi password if prompted.

Acquire IP Address Automatically

  • Ensure that the printer is set to obtain an IP address automatically via DHCP. This should happen by default during the wireless setup process.

Manual Configuration (If Required)

If you need to manually set the IP address, you can use the Embedded Web Server (EWS):

Obtain the New IP Address

  • Print the Network Configuration Page to find the new IP address assigned to the printer.

Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  • Open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar.
  • The EWS homepage will open, allowing you to configure settings.

Manually Configure IPv4 Settings

  • On the EWS homepage, click on the Networking tab.
  • You can manually enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway in the IP settings section if needed.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
