My network adaptor has been disabled and attempts to enable have failed?

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I’ve tried to uninstall most recent windows updates but network adapter still not enabled.  Dont know what cause it to be disabled?  Appears the driver failed to install when i turned on laptop, got error (10) comes up in adapter properties pop-up.  Obviously, i cant connect to internet to get additional support from HP or microsoft.  It is Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 network adaptor.  Any help or suggestions much appreciated!

@KenBrig Note: Please ensure the complete product name/number for a quicker response from the community, as we need to know what we are dealing with to provide an accurate solution: Click here for steps on finding the information we need!

Meanwhile, Install the latest version of the HP Hardware diagnostics (UEFI) on your device using this link: Click here for details (using Ethernet, if available)

  • Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  • Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  • On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
  • Click Extensive Test.
  • Click Run once, or Loop until error.
  • While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component display on the screen.

If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) for when you respond back to us.
