HP Pavilion dv7-6123cl - Serial No. [Personal Information Removed]
I cannot download a replacement driver from the HP website
I would like to go back to a wireless connection so that I can run my printer.
Where can I download the driver for this HP Pavilion Laptop.
The HP site says my computer is no longer supported.

Hi:
Your notebook was never supported by HP for W10, so there were no W10 drivers released by HP for it.
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi adapter.
You can try the outdated W10 drivers that W10 should have installed for that model Wi-Fi adapter from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
I would use one of the last two files on the list.
If you can't get the Wi-Fi adapter to work with the above drivers, I suggest you purchase a dual band USB Wi-Fi adapter.
This model is both dual band with Bluetooth.

The last time I tried to thank you I failed dismally. So, maybe this time I can reach you.
When Windows 10 was introduced, I upgraded this old HP Pavilion Laptop. It was able to connect to my router for several years and then suddenly everything just stopped.
I am writing you now because I have an ethernet cable directly connected to my router. That sort of fixed that problem. But, then, the HP Laptop could not communicate with my printer even though it could communicate with the route which communicates with the printer. I have tried an ethernet splitter and connecting an ethernet cable directly to my printer as well as to my router but that didn't work.
Thank you very much for your help. Maybe it's just a matter of outdated equipment.

You're very welcome, Elizabeth.
I also would have thought that a wireless printer could pick up any PC connected to a router, but I am not an expert in networking issues and definitely not with printers.
I recommend that you start a new topic on the printer not seeing your PC when it is connected via ethernet.

The wireless problem and the printer problem should be easily remedied by purchasing the USB Wi-Fi adapter I recommended the other day.
