I bought this laptop a week ago, and can't get any work done because the wifi is so slow. I've looked in the forums, updated the driver, tried numerous other tweaks like switching ofF location services, but nothing has worked yet.
I spend half my working life using video conferencing, and having just bought a brand new machine, i'm having to use my phone. My files sit on office 365, and accessing them is painful. It barely even loads a twitter feed, and you can forget about clicking on an image to see it full size.
Other laptops, phones, etc. on the network are functioning at normal speeds. I have Virgin cable if the router has any bearing.
Not impressed at all, but any help would be gratefully received.

You should have read more reviews of this laptop before you purchased it. Here's what one reviewer said "HP has surreptitiously swapped out the Intel 8265 module found on the Intel variant of the Envy x360 15 for the slower RealTek B822 WLAN module for the AMD variant."
A shame that HP thinks that folks who want ryzen processors are cheapskates that are satisfied with cow manure.
Me? I'd love an elitebook laptop with a ryzen 2, 32G ram, PWM frequency around 1000, at least 2560x1440 display (come on HP: my gen1 macbook pro has better resolution that this Envy), room for 2 NVMe drives. (HP did get two things right with dual channel memory and unsoldered DIMMs.) I'd be happy to pay for a business class system that has better specs.
