Ahh...the "web" we weave 🙂

... Whadda mean "I" got the camera to work? ... yoo da man!!
anyways, I cannot for the life of me find that hp site, like this 'blue' one for that list of previous versions of IDT, I thought it was you that got me the link .. but twas not to be . .. but ... do you?
anyhow, I found this 'black' hp site
http://hpnotebookdrivers.com/hp-probook-6550b-notebook-pc-windows-7-professional-32-bit-drivers/

and the module (sp50589) had the same effect, so ..

at the moment, I've got 4817 sittin on my desktop for when I need headphones and I will just knock it off when I want just speakers - about he only hitch is that Google mic gets lost
but ... I get Viber, voice n pic
with IDT I get pic n headphone voice but they cant hear me

I'm gonna have to tag a list to the icon to remind wnen I can n when I can't do particular stuff
and in both instances (with n without 48147) the 'Sound Recorder' works

wahoo! we're onto page 3

This is nuts
I just mess around some more and found the IDT control panel (worked this time), and I jacked up and clicked on the playback and recording bits .... and Viber worked
Wish I could say the same for the speakers 😞

It is nuts!

This was the link I gave you...click on the revision history tab if it does not show a whole list of IDT drivers.

I absolutely do not understand why the IDT audio driver listed on the support page for your PC doesn't work.

thank you Paul,
I'm gonna get on to it soon, and I'll let you know of the outcome 🙂

one more question... when i "try" each of the versions .. do I just install them on top of each other or delete, and or, install each individually? .. what is your advice?
God bless

HP Recommended

That is a good question.

Maybe you should uninstall each one first, restart the PC and install the different version.

I sure hope that you are able to overcome this problem!

God Bless you too, and perhaps a little prayer will help too!

Hi Paul,
Long time no spit (n complain)
the reason for this lil update, is coz, well, .. I unistalled sp48147 driver, and kept it on my desktop (yes I know it is still in my C:SWsetup as well, though I did unistall it) for when I wanted to use the speakers and lose the headphones.
Anyways... the Lord, and this laptop, move in mysterious ways...
the last couple of days I've been using external speakers through the headphone jack, and today I was preparing to show my mum this .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kJYZMP02SI ...
and i hadn't plugged in the external  speakers when I notice the sound coming from the laptop
So.. now I have, for however long, speakers n mic n headphones etc ...
anyhow, thought I'd let you know due to the ... ahhh... whatever ...  enjoy that little angel (and her fingers) on the piano, and wait for the 'swish' around 1.17min
God bless you n your family
Love kids (and pray Hil-lier-y doesn't become president... coz then well have more kids like this one..:-)
Kindes Regards
Vlad

Hey Paul,
Hope you're doin well,
Just thought I'd let you know I have a PC with AT (artificial temproment),
yep, it looks like the unit installed the IDT all itself(I can't find if it is 48147), and chooses when it wants to play the speakers, and of course .... not
anyway... just thought I'd update on the 'fun'
Kind Regards
Vlad:smileyhappy:
